Mgr. Cipriano Khianghire decided to dress in on de / woman
to affirm it in Ugandan society and the CMM touched to create the place where
this education was imparted, Make school, brick by brick to build a wall that
separates but not de / imitate the place it / as boys and girls become men and
women studying, learning a profession, loving the study, which in some cases
leads them to Makerere University in Kampala. I read in the first desire
expressed by Msgr. Cipriano and confirmed by other bishops in Gulu) ui
succeeded, our major references, a great attention to the value of the person
and the desire to make it able to see, judge and act to help build its future in
Northern Uganda.
Thus the history of the Center Missionary Magentino in Gulu begins with the
Santa Monica Tailoring School and continues with the Angel Negri College. Two
Secondary Schools, a female and a male, for about 200 students each. A crumb in
a district that has more or less 468,407 people in a nation that has about
25,000,000.
I like a lot the idea of this friendship between Gulu and Magenta on educational
needs, which dall'81 today by magentina feels to have a site opened in Gulu, and
by Ugandan prepares teams of builders and hosting volunteers, to build together.
Despite a history of suffering of the people Acioli that 18 years coexists with
a vicious civil war that has resulted in 100,000 victims, 20,000 children
abducted and enrolled in row dell'LRA the Lords Resistance Army.In this context
of strong sociopolitical instability work of the Center is to have stopped,
accelerated or changed. Never suspended. The thread between Magenta Gulu and has
never stopped.
Now walls constructed next to the CMM does another project: to let people know
what's happening a few kilometers from where we work. The goal is only one: to
inform. Informing on a situation that has not yet found adequate space in the
media. Informing on a situation that is making our friends suffer Acioli.
The Acioli we known thanks to friendship between the original Dr. Leone, Don
Bruno Pegoraro and Mons. Cipriano. Their story is dramatic and intriguing at the
same time.
"The Acioli they welcomed us, and helped with their's" complicity "in the sense
that we can stay here for so long and have still want to stay because certainly
feel that the draft that he had passed over us for this land and secondly
because we found people here who are near and helps us to understand the
situations that happen to us. - P says Paul Ottolini, rector of Layibi College
and in Northern Uganda for several decades one of the missionaries that we have
the CMM as a reference. The Acioli are peaceful only if they are in power but I
think this is not their prerogative. I think today Acioli are effectively
marginalized and will be tomorrow, if continue this way. The Acioli know that
they have a political and moral responsibility towards their people first, and
then whole of Uganda. So I think the future of international volunteer
organizations is to work on the person to make conscious of the enormous
responsibility that each person has to find a peaceful future for their children
".Of Acioli current President Museveni of Uganda said that "The only Acioli of
which you can trust is a dead Acioli. Of Museveni instead says that the
President is that Uganda has been able to raise the economic situation and
health of Uganda, the only thorn in his side: Northern Uganda. Museveni since
the beginning of his mandate to now has failed (or has not wanted) quell the
guerrillas.
It is starting from the history of Acioli, that everyone will pull its
conclusions on these statements
